Jupe
Jupe

Jupe has had a web presence in the anime community for almost five years now. She has been a website developer for 7 years and has been a graphic artist/graphic designer for 11 years. For a short time, she reviewed Sailormoon webpages under a popular (but now extinct) WPR. Currently, she maintains a handful of high traffic and recognizable websites: she updates animewallpapers.com and is the founder of ayanami.nu and fayevalentine.net. Her favourite anime at the moment is Noir, but she has a love for many other series such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Mononoke Hime, and many others. If you so happen to be at an anime convention that she is at, chances are she will be running a website design and graphic advice panel. Stop by and say hi sometime!

The Small Lady
The Small Lady

The Small Lady has been an anime fan for several years. Although her first anime love is Sailormoon, she enjoys other shoujo anime such as Fushigi Yuugi. Other favorites include Ranma, Marmalade Boy and Record of Lodoss War. When it comes to reviewing websites, she places a higher value on accurate and good-quality information than on eye-candy: after all, what's the point of a site looking good if you can't trust what you read on it? Her biggest pet peeve is arrogant webmasters, since she usually finds that the bigger the ego, the worse their site is. Other things she dislikes are sites that direct-link, plagarize, are full of broken links, and take longer to load than it does for her to make a cup of tea. Having retired from reviewing in spring 2001, the Small Lady now focuses on assisting at The Help Desk and managing a small homebrewing company for retired website reviewers. She lives under a rock in PallaPalla's garden with her cat Holstein.

Mara K.
Mara K.

Mara K. is to anime websites as Black Flag is to punk rock. Perhaps you remember her old website, Pluto Planet Power, as recipient of a couple of awards from this very website! Having been more-or-less on sabbatical since 1999, Mara now enjoys a quiet life working at a famous technical institution. These days, she spends significantly more time looking at websites than making them, though she still has a lot of websites. She is certainly no stranger to critiquing websites. She has sat on web design panels at several anime conventions in the past couple of years.

Mara is most impressed by sites with interesting and unusual content, clean design, and impeccable grammar. She is most horrified by websites that have overly-ambitious UIs, stuff that begins with "Sorry, IE only" (because IE only too often means "Looks awful on Mac screens)," and no actual original content.
